CLEMENCIA

 

Ella me pidió que matase la araña.

En lugar de eso, me hago con las armas

más pacíficas que logro encontrar.

 

Tomo una taza & una servilleta,

atrapo a la araña, la llevo fuera

y dejo que se vaya.

 

Si alguna vez me atrapan en el lugar equivocado

y en el momento equivocado, viviendo, simplemente,

y sin molestar a nadie

 

espero ser objeto

de la misma

clemencia.

She asked me to kill the spider.

Instead, I get the most

peaceful weapons I can find.

 

I take a cup & a napkin,

I catch the spider, put it outside

and allow it to walk away.

 

If I am ever caught in the wrong place

at the wrong time, just being alive

and not bothering anyone

 

I hope I am greeted

with the same kind

of mercy
