POEMA ROMANO NÚMERO NUEVE

 

Al fin y al cabo

regresar no es un modo de avanzar

o retroceder. En todo caso parece

una cuestión de opinión cómo

lo encaras aunque

la cama inconstante la voz diferente

en torno a la habitación diferente

pueden dar testimonio del movimiento

entrada-salida es

el movimiento lo que te acoge

y la memoria la que te deja salir de nuevo.

O

como este amor me permitirá decir

el cuerpo viaja más rápido de lo que al corazón

guardián le llevará alejarse.

ROMAN POEM NUMBER NINE

 

Return is not a way of going forward

after all

or back. In any case it seems

a matter of opinion how

you face although

the changing bed the different voice

around the different room

may testify to movement

entry exit it

is motion takes you in

and memory that lets you out again.

Or

as this love will let me say

the body travels faster than the keeping

heart will turn away.
