Una estrella de mar muerta en la playa

Tiene cinco brazos

Que representan los cinco sentidos

Que representan las bromas que tú y yo nunca nos hicimos

Di que la tierra es plana

Llama humanos a otras personas

Pero deja que esta criatura se tumbe

Sobre nuestros sentidos

Como un amor

Vaticinado en el mar

Que murió.

Y fue a bautizar

Todos los océanos

De emoción. Todos los océanos de emoción

Están llenos de estos peces

¿Por qué

Este que ha muerto importa tanto?

A dead starfish on a beach

He has five branches

Representing the five senses

Representing the jokes we did not tell each other

Call the earth flat

Call other people human

But let this creature lie

Flat upon our senses

Like a love

Prefigured in the sea

That died.

And went to water

All the oceans

Of emotion. All the oceans of emotion

are full of such fish

Why

Is this dead one of such importance?
