IMÁGENES DE AYER 

 

Una mantis religiosa en el borde de la inconsciencia

alza sus hachas por encima del horizonte,

mira hacia las nubes que pasan,

se aferra a la punta de una hoja seca de hierba

y se balancea con ella.

En sus vidriosos ojos azules se refleja

el resplandor crepuscular del horizonte,

motas de un azul,

y cardos que tiemblan a lo lejos.

Representan el ayer como fue.

YESTERDAY'S IMAGES

 

A praying mantis on the edge of unconsciousness

raising its axes above the horizon,

gazes at the running clouds,

clings to the tip of a dry grass blade

and sways with it.

On its glassy blue eyes are reflected

the horizon in the afterglow,

speckles of a blue,

and thistles trembling in the distance.

Those are yesterday as it was.

 

 

昨日の映像

意識を失いかけたカマキリは

斧を地平線の上に　ふりあげたまま

走る雲を　ながめたまま

枯草のてっぺんにしがみついたまま

枯草がゆれるとカマキリもゆれる

その青ガラスの瞳に映っているのは

残照にかがやく地平線
